6-11-20 THOUGHTS

Recently 1Cor 15:58 passed through my mind and got stuck there. To some degree, it captures my job as a believer...  And there’s a promise attached!  So I’ve accumulated some like verses
for our minds to consider.  There’s some heavy thinking here.

1Cor 15:58   Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not [in] vain in the Lord.

Ps 55:22   Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Ps 78:8   And not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not prepare its heart And whose spirit was not faithful to God.
Col 1:23  if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.
Heb 3:14  For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end,
1Cor 10:13  No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
Heb 10:35   Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.
2John 1:8   Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.

This thinking is related to our OVERCOMING.
Rev 3:5   ‘He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

My Prayer:
Jehovah God who has promised us eternity in Your presence, thank you for assuring us that our existence on earth is for a purpose and is not in vain.  Thank you for Jesus, the sense of it all and the love behind it all.  Help us to serve you with our whole being, to love you with all of our heart.  May Christ be our life  Oh God.  May we cling to every part of the light and truth that comes from you. In Jesus name          Amen
